  1. I don’t understand why some parents would slam this software… perhaps they didn’t even take the time to review it in detail with their kids… sure there are games in there, (to help practise typing skills), but if you use the “Typing tournament” section there is a very well thought out graduated set of typing lessons that methodically introduces children to the various keys, giving them instruction on correct fingering, and walking them through drills to build their proficiency. What more could you ask for? Plus my 9 year old son loves it and can’t wait to do another lesson when he gets home from school. Highly recommended!

    annoying audio
Bought this for my 9 year-old SpongeBob fanatic. Even he said he was sick of hearing SpongeBob after only a few sessions.

Even Patrick Star could use this
Good product. Got a nine year old to start typing using home keys. Something I was unable to teach. Does this mean spongebob is smarter than me?

  4. This learn to type product suits my 10 year old for his only interest is to play video games. SpongeBob combines video game and the kid’s natural competitiveness to motivate in learning a task that is basically boring. It really makes learning fun.

Best typing software for preteen boys
I bought this software for my son last summer, and made a deal with him that he would complete the software before school started in September for a grand prize of $50.

  6. Despite being billed as “SpongeBob Typing 2008,” this version has NOT been updated to work with Macintosh OS X beyond version 10.3. It will NOT run on 10.5 Leopard.

    Not For Beginners
    SpongeBob Squarepants Typing 2008
My six year old grandson found this interesting, but it didn’t teach him the fundamentals he needed to follow along with the program.

Do not buy this if you have Vista
This product will not install on Vista even though the box states “Vista Compatible” in three places.

Defective, Obsolete & doesn’t work with Mac
This item is a very old item that has been reworked unsuccessfully and then marketed as new. It is totally unsuitable for a Mac.

Very fun to learn typing with SpongeBob.
Is very fun to learn typing with spongeBob becouse it is not a program that makes you tired of the same lesson over and over. Each time your speed change you get a new lesson.

Doesn’t Work with usb keyboard, no support
If there were a “0″ star category, I would select it. The “typing” part of the program doesn’t permit any keyboard entry, at least ln two of my computers (both have USB…

    Fantastic
I bought this for my 7 year old and he loves it. We use it for homeschooling and when we move on to something else he doesn’t want to stop typing. I recommend this highly.

I bought this for my 7 yr old son. He loves the computer and he’s a huge Spongebob fan. He immediately took an interest in the game.
